Committed to Community, Committed to You
Crescent Electric is committed to being a good corporate citizen. We follow recognized practices for reducing waste, conserving energy at our facilities and warehouses, and recycling and using renewable materials whenever possible. We take pride in our fuel-efficient vehicle fleet, and use high-efficiency fixtures in our buildings to minimize water consumption.
We also take this way of thinking to our customers and suppliers, helping them find ways to improve efficiency and cut costs throughout the supply chain. We believe sustainability is a mission everyone shares. Working together, we’re convinced we can all make a difference that means a brighter future for everyone.
Crescent Electric Quality Statement
It is the responsibility of our leadership, distribution facilities, and corporate executives to drive the quality business system which is modeled after the International Standard of ISO 9001/2008. Many of our branch locations have been registered to the standard since 1995 with the focus on the installation throughout the company. Building consistency into work through documentation, training and feedback will provide us the structured foundation with which to move forward.
Crescent's Quality Policy is defined as "No Surprises." Our policy is how we define quality. Surprises are prevented by obtaining objectives, eliminating errors, following through on commitments, and building consistency into everything we do. Our approach to preventing surprises is continually improving our Business System which adheres to the ISO 9001:2015 Standard.
Conflict Materials Position Statement
The United States Congress has associated the extraction and trade of tin, tantalum, and gold ("Conflict Materials") with human rights violations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and adjoining countries (collectively, the "DRC").
As an electrical products wholesaler, Crescent Electric Supply Company does not manufacture any of the products we offer for sale to our customers. As a distributor, and where possible, Crescent Electric Supply Company will incorporate the principles of responsible sourcing of Conflict Materials into our contract terms with those manufacturing suppliers from whom we purchase the products they manufacture.
We will make our position statement available to our manufacturing suppliers and expect them to adopt similar positions or policies with respect to their own supply chains. Our manufacturing suppliers are encouraged to support industry efforts to enhance traceability of Conflict Minerals and responsible practices in their global supply chains.
Crescent Electric—An ENERGY STAR Partner
ENERGY STAR® is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Energy (DOE). The program was created to recognize and encourage energy efficiency and help businesses and consumers easily identify products that can help them save energy, save money and help protect the environment.
As an ENERGY STAR partner, Crescent Electric provides our customers with the latest high-efficiency equipment and materials. Whether specified by architects or required by changing building codes, our experienced staff can help guide you to energy-efficient lighting, HVAC components, motor controls, and electrical products to fit any application. We also provide energy management services and efficiency upgrades.
The ENERGY STAR logo on items ranging from light bulbs to major appliances identifies products with superior energy performance. But the ENERGY STAR program has also developed performance ratings for commercial and institutional buildings and manufacturing facilities.
These ratings, on a scale of 1 to 100, provide a means of comparing the energy usage of individual buildings against other buildings of a similar type. Buildings that achieve a rating of 75 or higher are awarded the ENERGY STAR designation. A benchmarking and auditing process helps building and facilities managers evaluate the performance of their buildings and industrial plants and determine what savings might be realized from upgrading equipment and systems, and which energy conservation measures are the most cost effective.
Crescent Electric is engaged in a benchmarking and auditing process on our own facilities, several of which have already earning the ENERGY STAR designation. The knowledge we gain from our own process helps us guide our customers to cost-effective products and practices. At Crescent Electric, our participation in the ENERGY STAR program is just one way that we practice what we preach in energy conservation.
